This knot became known as a "Monkey's Fist" knot because, as with a monkey, it won't turn loose of an object. It was used to rescue people when ships were in distress.
Our small 1904 Candle Monkey’s Fist measures 3 inches x 3 inches. These beautiful handmade beeswax candles will burn for a minimum of 35 hours.
These 100% beeswax candles offer a great home decor addition for anyone who loves the nautical life! They also offer a great idea for a hostess gift or Father's Day surprise! We know you will love them!
To ensure optimal burn time and candle performance one must trim the wick to ¼ inch and after 3 hours of burning it is a good idea to allow the candle to rest, if you will, as beeswax candles burn the hottest of all waxes.
